Run 1946
Run 1946 - 4. January 2010
12 Scales Street Moil
The RUN
Set by: Mango & Browneye
This run should have been called the birthday bash. Jenset and Marro turning 60 and Gonzo and KFC also having birthdays in the last week or so. A surprisingly large pack of 28 turned up on a bleak and soggy 4th of January. With a Cyclone forming off Daly River we were directed into suburban Moil on pink tape. The run meandered through Moil and Jingili, through the Cemetary, across McMillans Rd. then alongside Rapid Creek, sloshing our way through ankle deep mucky slush to the concrete weir across from the Airport. Then on home via Abala road and Moil Cycle paths. (Well, that’s how the walkers got home). The pack was home before 7pm. Of note – Barbwire nearly got cleaned up by a large Wallaby (not John Eales) and one unnamed hasher was monstered by a leech.
