The RUN
Set by SBS & Bones
I must say it was a good effort for our handicapped hares! They set a nice run and even organized food and drinks without a car but with some help of fellow hashers. It was a long run set on red coloured taped. You could follow the tape itself or follow Bones (he had tape on his shoes). The second option was following SBS for a walk. There were a couple of late-comers and non-runners but the majority did go on the run and short-cutted only a bit. I was told the run was well marked but our South African visitor still managed to get lost. So next time if your see a strange looking runner, please take care of him. We don’t want visitors to get lost, even when they beat Australia in cricket. The run itself had no piss stop but you were rewarded with a swim in a nice pool afterwards.
The CIRCLEFirst of all, please make an effort and come around for Australia day run and wear your VB shirt. Our sponsor always loves to see us around for such events and we get free beer! The circle was pretty much a family circle this time, we even had a couple of kids. First up was Boy Gorge. He got his birthday drink and a special birthday note from us. He just turned 16 but he already did 10 runs, well done! Next up were a couple of returners: Corkboy, Mormon, Majorworries, Whorenuts and maybe someone else I missed. Aaron got the next down down, his name is (I think) cutlet and he impressed us with his drinking skills, must lay in the family. Craft was the next up for following GM the whole evening. Apparently he just can’t open up his beer bottles himself and needs help every time. Next we had dip test for Whorenuts, Mormon and General. All small kids were required to look away and our ladies didn’t even bother to get up and have a closer look. Sad! It’s such a hard world for a man! Horse got a down down for not helping Goose as a co-hare and Majorworries got a fine for offering SBS a ride whenever she would need one. Our Katherine hasher was told to bring a towel and not run around with a strange white something on his shoulder. Then we had a Barbwire and Genset joke and General got the last fine of the day for talking to Cricket. Last as usual our hares SBS and Bones got their down down.
